Providing necessary capital equipment raw materials, new designs, modern technology, infrastructures and market linkages will strengthen the capacity and marketability of the traditional handicraft product in the country.  In the Sri lanakan economy, as a small scale industry the handicraft industry carries a significant bearing on the important sector such as culture, traditions, environment etc.  The collection of handicrafts envisages to the producers a showcase for their exclusive creation.
